Grant Application

We use Foundant Grant Lifecycle Manager to receive and review grant applications for nonprofits located in:

• Washtenaw County

• Canton, MI

• Crystal Lake, IL

• Oak Park, IL

If you are not located in one of these areas, you must be invited to apply by Speckhard-Knight Charitable Foundation. If you are outside of those geographic areas and have not received an invitation to apply for a grant, please do not fill out an application. We will not consider unsolicited grant applications.

How to Apply for a Grant

To apply for a grant, please create an account with Foundant Grant Lifecycle Manager. Then, click “Apply” and complete the application.

Grant Cycles

Speckhard-Knight Charitable Foundation follows three grant cycles: Winter, Spring and Summer.

Any grant submitted past the cycle due dates will not be considered until the following cycle. For example, if you submit your application on October 1, Speckhard-Knight Charitable Foundation will consider your application during the Winter Cycle and you may not receive a funding decision until the end of April.

• Winter Cycle runs from January through March

  • The application deadline is March 31

  • You will receive a funding decision by the end of April

• Spring Cycle runs from April through June

  • The application deadline is June 30

  • You will receive a funding decision by the end of July

• Summer Cycle runs from July through September

  • The application deadline is September 30

  • You will receive a funding decision by the end of October
